Itinerary
Depart early from Karatu or Arusha and drive southwest through the Rift Valley floor toward Lake Eyasi. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your local interpreter and guide who will lead you to a Hadzabe settlement just after sunrise.
Start the day with a hunting excursion a real, respectful experience where you’ll observe Hadzabe men hunting small game using bows and arrows they craft themselves. Learn tracking techniques, how they gather edible roots and fruits, and how they survive completely off the land.
After the hunt, return to the village for an interactive cultural exchange: learn how the women prepare meals, watch traditional dances, and participate in bow-making and fire-starting demonstrations using local materials.
