Itinerary
Your day begins with an early morning departure from Dar es Salaam (around 03:30 AM), traveling via the scenic Morogoro highway into the heart of southern Tanzania. After approximately 5–6 hours of driving, you’ll arrive at the park gate and begin your thrilling game drive.
Explore the Mkata floodplains, where large herds of elephants, giraffes, buffalo, impalas, zebras, and wildebeest roam freely. With luck, you may spot tree-climbing lions, leopards, and wild dogs, along with iconic species like the roan and sable antelope.
Birdwatchers will delight in the park’s 300+ recorded species, including the striking lilac-breasted roller, marabou stork, and Eurasian migrants.
