Itinerary
Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha, followed by a scenic drive to Arusha National Park. After registration and briefing at the gate, you'll transfer to the shores of one of the park’s iconic Momella Lakes.
With expert canoe guides and safety gear provided, glide quietly across the calm waters for 2 to 2.5 hours. Along the lush shoreline, observe giraffes browsing, zebras grazing, and even buffalo herds cooling off in the shallows.
Birdwatchers will be in heaven Momella Lakes host up to 600 bird species, including greater and lesser flamingos, African jacanas, herons, pelicans, and the striking fish eagle circling overhead.
Look to the treetops for playful black-and-white colobus monkeys, swinging through the canopy. On clear days, your paddle is crowned with stunning views of Mount Meru and even Mount Kilimanjaro rising in the distance.
